   1. Privacy — every cold load told Google the IP of whoever opened the app.
   2. Offline. sw.js precaches with cache.addAll(), which is ATOMIC: the
      Google stylesheet failing meant the whole service-worker install failed,
      so a flaky network cost you offline mode entirely, not just the font.

   These are the variable font files Google itself serves — one per unicode
   subset, each covering the whole 400-800 weight range, which is why there is
   one @font-face per subset rather than one per weight. The app uses 400, 500,
   600, 700 and 800; all are inside that range.

   Subsets shipped: latin, latin-ext, vietnamese (144 KB total) — enough for
   every name on the roster and for Western European + Vietnamese spellings.
   Cyrillic and Greek are deliberately left out to keep the offline precache
   small; a glyph outside these ranges falls back to the system sans-serif,
   which degrades quietly rather than breaking. To add one, download the subset
   from the Google CSS, drop it in fonts/, add a block here, add it to ASSETS in
   sw.js and bump CACHE.
